"Staff were wonderful! Extremely courteous and helpful, very professional. Their dedication to making the stay a positive one really elevated the experience. Room (5th floor) was a great size, clean, very comfortable. Had everything you might require for a stay in the room and everything was good quality. We had one meal in the restaurant and it was great. Food was delicious and service was quick, efficient and attentive. Really impressed. Would absolutely stay again. "

"Had a brilliant stay here! Hotel was in a great location for Waverley station, shops and the theatre. Staff were all so lovely and approachable. Rooms were a good size, well decorated and clean. Breakfast was varied and tasteful. The spa was lush! Only minor issues were that we had booked two twin rooms and neither rooms actually had twin beds. Both had double beds made up. Not a big issue for us as it was a mother and daughter pair staying in both rooms but might not be appropriate for other...

"From the outside, the hotel looks like a small castle. Inside, the hotel was clean, the staff was very nice, polite, they explained a lot of history in Edinburgh to us, which was amazing. The breakfest was a large assortment of anything you could think of. I hightly recommend anyone who visits Edinburgh to stay here. In walking distance to everything,"

"The rooms are really small. Smaller than you could imagine. This was the branding for the hotel though hence the 5 stars because everything else is great! Service was good, location was amazing, and I got some free coffee from the staff. Very nice."

"The property was wonderful. Nothing fancy but, quaint and quiet. The staff are lovely despite minimal interaction. The room I stayed in, (family quarters) was lovely. Although a the bathroom was a little small and the cupboard door doesn’t fully shut, it was exactly what I needed. Tea and coffee was provided, which was lovely. "The heating in the room was not perfect and the room was cold at night. The bad was not comfortable ,the mattress was too firm to me but i suffer from backache.They have nice swimming pool but the water was cold. Everything else was perfect."
