"Fantastic locals pub with lots of atmosphere, great food. Can't speak highly enough of the village of Ashover, and the surrounding area. The rooms are a little small but its what you expect for a pub of that age. Definately a 5 star stay."

"Stunning property, superbly finished and immaculate. Nothing overlooked and lovely welcome treats for pooches and their owners. Not so great, and not well publicised, is the location - the property fronts on to a VERY busy/noisy 'A' road, the traffic being relentless. Spoils an otherwise perfect property and, sadly, would prevent a return visit."
