"The apartment amazing 3 doubles with 4th self contained with fridge and shower and lift perfect for me 85 year old mother. It was Christmas the host left us wine candles her sister in apartment across the hall brough local sweet cakes. Everything you can think of was provided including umbrellas, robes, special towels for jacuzzi all manner of plates glasses; an ice maker I loved the toiletries so much I bought a larger bottle in a chemist to take home. "We thought the place was charming. The location is perfect. It's on the street right behind the main street so not as crowded and situated in the middle of other shops and apartments. Be prepared for stairs though. We actually kept our suitcases on the main floor vs the bedrooms. Also, the street is not driveable after 11am. Google maps put us on the street at 10:30 pm. Yikes. But it was all good. We got free parking at the Marina the whole time."

"This home was a perfect spot for my husband and I to relax. The natural sea pools were a highlight! We walked to the Venetian Port and strolled along for a food tour. Chania is a magical city and our hosts helped make it extra special!"

"We cannot say enough positive things about the gardenia garden house. It was a wonderful location to explore the beaches and hiking spots around Chania, and experience the lovely culture of the people of Sternes. It is within 10 minutes of the airport but feels a world away. Comfortable furnishings surrounded by lemon and olive trees,herbs to cook with in its well equipped kitchen all made it a comfortable home for us. Hoping to return to this lovely spot!"

"Everything about this place was wonderful. The pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful and meticulously well-maintained this place is. They clearly care about keeping it great shape, and it shows! Marina was very helpful with suggestions and advice. She welcomed us when we arrived and had brought us a basket of fresh fruit, which was very kind. This place is a five minute drive up a somewhat winding road, but it is an easy drive, even at night, so we did not find that troublesome. The...
