"We stayed at this property for 3 days in December and spent most of our time exploring the surrounding area instead of utilizing the facilities. Overall it was a good value in a great location. "

"Amazing place. Everything was top notch and very very good. I would recommend to anyone BUT….food and drinks are very pricey, thermal tubs attached to rooms are dirty and full of vegetation (never cleaned while we were there for four days) and plant material. Don’t order breakfast to your room, it gets cold easily. Breakfast (included) was very good with great options, but eat at the restaurant if you want it hot. Overall Service is excellent, entire property atmosphere is great, wine pairing meal was outstanding. The property (both meals, room, and drinks) prices itself out of being someplace I would go back to again. "

"Had an excellent stay here in November for our honeymoon. Check in was friendly and we were greeted with cool towels and a cold drink which was lovely after a long drive. The hotel has incredible value with thermal spa. Our room was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning at the on site restaurant, one thing I will note is that there were not a lot of vegan options for breakfast and the espresso machine did not have a non dairy option. However, the servers were very accommodating and made me a separate coffee and got me avocado so I could make avocado toast which was very nice. We also really enjoyed having dinner at the restaurant at the thermal spa and the cocktails at the thermal spa were incredible as well. Overall, incredible hotel, we can’t wait to return one day! "

"The views look in person just as they do on the website. The pool and hot tub were clean. The villas are individual cabins, which are roomy but not too much. Breakfast included for free & there is a restaurant/bar open the entire day. It’s a 40 minute drive from La Fortuna but we did not mind the commute. In exchange you get really nice and quiet surroundings. Would recommend for family getaways!"

"Amazing stay at Lost Iguana. Everyone working there was so kind and accommodating. Beautiful resort with lush greenery. Transfers via golf cart throughout resort available if raining (or just don’t feel like walking up/downhill). The room was beautiful and clean. Would stay again!"

"If you love spotting wild animals up close, you must stay here. During our 5 night stay, we spotted a sloth 3 meters from us on the tree (and another time further on the tree), countless interesting insects, and every night we visited our 'secret spot' to observe several red eyed tree frogs right in front of our eyes. Yes, every night they were there! Check out the photos taken at the hotel. Other than the animals, the grounds are just so lush and pretty, kept well but in a natural way. The three natural hot springs were very enjoyable too. Our room was super spacious, more of a rustic feel but we loved it. Last but not least, every hotel staff member was so nice and friendly to us, we felt sad to leave and definitely want to go back one day :)"

"This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are truly amazing and so private. We stayed here for our honeymoon and the hotel gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine and little desserts. The turndown service was really nice and dry cleaning was fast and had great pricing compared to other hotels we stayed at. I can’t say enough about the staff, we arrived early for check in but staff brought us complimentary drinks and one staff William gave us an amazing tour of the property which was needed because it is enormous. So impressive with bridges and wildlife and lush tropical forest everywhere. We loved the orchids along all the paths in the resort. William also showed us the frog pond in the evening which we loved. He had amazing suggestions and helped throughout our entire stay. We did the complimentary yoga and loved the fresh cold coconut water provided afterwards. I was blown away with everything what was included and every little detail. We saw several sloths, howler monkeys and six different species of frogs on the property. We did not want to leave the resort and ate at Ayla the Mediterranean restaurant which was good and the Italian restaurant which we loved. Great vegan options at all the dining options. I can’t say enough good things and look forward to returning!! "
