"We had such a good stay at Dar Loulema! Our family of four stayed in a larger room with a private terrace, overlooking the sea. The room was beautifully designed, with a modern nautical theme and separate spaces for parents and for kids. Pure fantasy! The breakfasts on the terrace were a treat, and the staff was so nice. It was also conveniently located - close to everything while being easy to get to. There was some noise from the nearby club and mosque, but with earplugs, no issue at all....

"Amazing place to stay with tons of space. It was initially difficult to find since GPS took us elsewhere but once we arrived the owner David was very friendly, kind and accommodating. He advised us on areas to explore and visit, restaurants to go to etc. The view on rooftop better than pictures, the rooms spacious and clean as well. Everything within walking distance from the Riad. Would definitely stay again "

"Centered in the heart of the Medina. Very warm welcome on arrival. Beautiful traditional Riad feel from when you walk through the door. Be prepared for many steps to climb or be sure to ask for a room on lower floors. Extremely spacious room. Nicely laid out. Traditional bathroom though no actual shower, only a shower head laying in the bath and no shower curtain which proved awkward and inconvenient. Exceptionally noisy from early morning with other guests and music playing. Room doesn’t block...

"HUge and empty hotel in need a updating and cleaning. Very dirty and bed bugs. I had to change rooms 3 times and each time the beds and linens were disgusting."

"This was a nightmare experience. We booked through Hotels.Com. This was one of the few hotels "available" on a busy weekend. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and discovered the hotel was a gutted shell in the process of being renovated. The restaurant on the ground floor was still open, but we got only a shrug and were told to go away. So, we spent the next few hours searching out an alternative space to stay. During the rest of the day, we saw others arriving at the Mechoura Darna to have...

"Nice enough place. Very nice people who run it. Unfortunately there is a Public bar (alcohol + smoking) which can be a bit noisy and can smell especially if you are a non smoker. Don't expect a view. The 2 top floors only, have a good view of the sea. "

"Everything about the villa was five star; from the generous accommodation, to the sophisticated decor, to the beautiful gardens and pool area. The owners went out of their way to make our stay perfect for a very special event. We enjoyed wonderful food prepared by the housekeeper and everyone thought it was the best villa we have stayed in during our many trips to Essouira. The location and facilities were perfect.
