My sister got married to my husband's best friend while we were in Mexico. All of the arrangements were great! We started off with an upgraded room. We had a great time the entire trip. The best food was at the restaurants rather than the buffets. We had a large group so it would have been a long wait to eat together, but since we spent the whole day together anyway, we divided up and ate separately and only had to wait 5-30 minutes. Everyone we went with had a great time and we had no complaints!!
Suggestions:
-Don't pack a beach towel, they have them available with a card and it takes up too much room in luggage.
-Do bring multiple swim suits. It is humid and they don't dry well in the room, so unless you want to put on a damp swimsuit, bring an extra.
-Do bring more cash than you think you will need, especially $1's. Tipping is not necessary to get good service but it is nice. Also, some of our trips that we took were discounted if we paid cash.
-If you are going for a wedding and want to get a hair updo, see if you can get a price list before you go. It was very pricy, so I ended up just wearing my hair down which was hot, however my sister said manicures were not expensive.
-Remember that the airport is about 2 hours away, especially if you have to stop at other resorts to pick up more people. We had to leave at 2:40am for a 7am flight. Plan your flight accordingly!!!
