"Repeat customer. Third time back in his hotel but this time was a disappointment. I booked and paid on 27 DEC. Arrived at the hotel on 31 JAN receptionist said cannot find my booking because was booked last minute?? Wasted 20-25 mins and another receptionist-Mariyam or Mariah sorted out a room for me."

"Generally ok, staff were hospitable and helpful. But, the manager Mrs Rinie was unfriendly as she was harassing my sister who stayed in another room about the extended hour that we requested and threatening her. "This was the second time we stayed at the Ascott within a month. We were in Penang for over three weeks to celebrate the Chinese New Year with our family in Penang. We decided to stay here again on the same trip. We like the amenities offered by Ascott such as the in-room washer and dryer, spacious room layout and excellent staff service. We walked to Gurney Plaza shopping mall and avoided the headaches of finding parking in the crowded shopping mall garage. This is a great hotel and we will certainly stay here again in the future."
