"When we arrived we realised i hadn't contacted the hotel the day before to get check in info - this was under check in knfo on the booking and i hadn't looked... We found a cafe with and contacted the owner who was really helpful and gave us the codes we needed for the door and instructions how to get there. We were in block E which we found really hard to find! Even once we found the room it was hard to find when we came back to it that evening. We didnt have access to mobile data which didn't...

"The Apartment was fine, It was not clean but ok. We were instructed to pick-up the key and that went well, but in the apartment it was stated that we should have had 2, i Kontaktet the kontaktperson that we only had one and got no respons. The worst thing was on the night before your departure where at 11.45 pm 6 men came in in the apartment because they also had a key and a reservation. This is under no circumstances acceptable."

"A very convenient check in process as the owners arranged a private transfer. The apartment is on the small side but perfectly suitable for 2 couples or a family of four. The kitchenette has a hob, kettle and a microwave but not much else. This was not a problem for us as we ate out as local restaurants are plentiful and cheap. The apartment was superficially clean but would benefit from a deep clean of the kitchenette and bathrooms. There is a rooftop infinity pool and adjacent bar/restaurant....

At this point, I felt like I was being gaslit and my gut was really relaxing I’ve been scammed. I contacted Orbitz support and learned that it was a VRBO property. All they could tell me is that they’d launch an investigation so this is currently ongoing. With nowhere to stay, torrential rain outside and my phone battery running low, I booked another hotel"

Only drawback was that Citadines co-shares the plot and common facilities w an apartment building called Northshore (different wing) which brings along w that, tons of short-stay crowd (amongst them children) and noise in the common areas, esp the pool.
