"Easily the best place I stayed in whilst in Japan. It’s a ryokan and yet it has full 5 star hotel features. I chose a room with a private outdoor Onsen bath and kaiseki dinner option. Room was huge (75sq/m) with a separate bedroom, living room and sitting area with a wood burner. I started the fire and sat there for hours in between my private lovely hot onsen. "This ryokan was a top experience of our two-week trip in Japan. Such a charming and unique oasis and glimpse of traditional Japanese life. The rooms and facilities are even better than pictured. An onsen is included in the price, and you can go as often as you'd like. We highly recommend their nine-course meal that you can reserve (for an extra fee) up to two days prior to your stay. They even accommodated our group member's gluten allergy. The ryokan is easily accessible by bus from Kanazawa...

"Lovely stay, we were welcomed warmly and had a fantastic traditional tatami room which included Yukata, television and tea set. The shared bathroom was clean, and the area was close to lots of restaurants but was quiet during the night. The train station is not very close, but we walked it in about 30mins or there is a bus stop very close by."

"Amazing house to stay in, would highly recommend for the experience. It was very comfortable with all the expected amenities. The host was also lovely and gave a few local restaurant recommendations to us. It’s about 25-30 minutes walk from the castle & station, although very easy to get taxis if it’s later in the evening. There are a few good coffee shops within 10 minutes walk also. "
