"Marea has great management and staff, from Sofia and Luisa who helped me book tours that were just right for my family to Jaime and Jenni at the front desk and the amazing bar and restaurant crew - Fernando, Rodrigo, Carlos and Tirso! Marea is on a 20 km stretch of pure white sand each with almost no one around! The property is beautiful and the villas with plunge pools on the deck, beautiful interiors and comfortable furniture make it hard to want to go beyond your own front (patio) doors! "

"This property was perfect for relaxation. It is gorgeous and the presidential villa was amazing. Every room was comfortable with adequate ac and the common area was large enough for a a family. The kitchen was large and had cooler with filtered water. The unit had it's own pool but we also enjoyed the infinity pool on the grounds. The only drawback was that the restaurant on the grounds closed its doors the day we arrived and there is nothing in the area so you must go out for meals or purchase food for the apt. Zihua was interesting and we did a few excursions including the day trip to isla de Ixtapa. This place is so beautiful with the views of pool, beach and amazing sunset and the staff was awesome that we will be back. "

"Hotel was just ok nothing special. Bed comfortable but right beside the road and very noisy. Staff did not speak English but tried very very hard to communicate. Rate desk staff as excellent. Poor amenities Bathroom floor very muddy and sink barely flowed. Shower ok but floor dirty. "

"If anything, the pictures do not do not do the casa don pepe justice. The location was great - right outside the walls was the village of Barra de Pototsi. Our family enjoyed the small shops, restaurants and friendliness there. Our kids played soccer with the local children and even attended a birthday party of a local girl. Talk about cultural education! But back to the villa - it was idea for our family of 23. The caretaker family met our every need. We loved the pool and the ocean front. We lounged in the hammocks, played games, and ate lots of great food including fresh fruit everyday. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious. The only issue that we had, even though we thought we came prepared was the small black bugs that were quite viscous. Most of us came home with multiple itchy bites. That was a small price to pay in comparison to the abundant amenities and wonderful location of the Casa Don Pepe. Would love to visit again."

"The villa has a stunning view of the beach, palm trees and ocean. The layout was perfect for two couples, two large bedrooms both with king-sized beds. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the infinity pools and the plunge pool on the patio. The ocean was too rough for swimming but we had long walks each day along the beach. The villa complex was surprisingly not crowded. We typically had the pools to ourselves or shared them with just a few others. There is a restaurant onsite, good food, but very pricey. We went to Zihuatanejo Centro most evenings for dinner, it’s about a 20 minute taxi ride, the cost was between 400 and 600 pesos more expensive to go to La Ropa. The cost of the taxis was higher than expected and if I were to do this again, I would consider renting a car. "
