"Lovely cottage nestled in the foothills. We loved the outdoor blankets while drinking our morning coffee on the deck. The decor and bedding made this the most comfortable stay! Location was Perfect! "Sitting by one of the fire pits at dusk drinking beers we saw a good-sized black bear wander past us – across the creek, fortunately! So yes, we can attest they do have bears. Overall, the cabin (Walnut) was nicely appointed and comfortable, but a little tight on space and storage. Keep in mind there are other guests in close proximity, so you will probably have the opportunity to interact with other people (we did and they all were nice!). We visited in September, and while it may not be necessary to traverse the road to the cabin in a four wheel drive vehicle, having 4WD will instill confidence. "Like the brown stone building flavor. Very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Easy check in and entrance. Lots of traffic noise, light in bathroom was problematic. It would turn on and off throughout the night which meant the heater was closed off due to door being shut. Frig made a lot of freeze and thaw noises. Extra blankets would be welcomed. "
