"This place is a bit special. Lovely setting next to river. Staff very friendly and facilities clean. Stayed in a tree house one night. Was a great memorable experience. Used an e-bike and went around the local area, past rice fields and old shrines. One of the highlights of our trip to Japan. "

"I loved staying at this hostel, as it had an awesome vibe. The hostel and town were like something out of Totoro. It is a nice quaint area and the hostel embodies this. The staff and owner bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. It was during the world cup, so they put all the games up on a projector. "The room was very comfortable, clean and fresh. There was a charging cable provided. The spa was excellent - well maintained, large, hot pools on two floors including the rooftop Onsen which was enjoyable. Nice toiletries at the spa. Enjoyed the mushroom tea from the lobby. Very close to Oita Station, take lift to level 8 to hotel lobby. Food easily accessible at Amu Plaza."
