"We are very private people, and hate it when we rent a cabin and have any other houses within sight, to say nothing of those rentals with next door neighbors right on top of you. This gorgeous little cabin is tucked in the middle of the CR rain forest. No neighbors at all. Just hummingbirds, gorgeous butterflies and lots of other wildlife. "We loved this property and I only wish we had more time. The host and the caretaker were responsive. Excellent bird watching in the mornings. Fresh guava to eat off the trees. We had two dinners at the farm next store and they were delicious! A lovely stay and my only wish is we had more time. Ricardo was super friendly and very helpful. A bit tricky to find but excellent directions. I hope to go back some day."

"The property was exactly what we wanted. It easily accommodated our group of eight. Nice weather with a breeze and cool at night. The property had plenty of room for the kids to run around. There were several dogs on the property that the kids loved. There is a barn next door with horses and a large selection of farm animals. The property was comfortable and great for kids. Carlos was a great host. We would definitely stay there again."

"It is not a hotel. It is located more than 15 minutes from the center of turrialba in a very remote area, difficult to access and without services such as supermarket, banks, etc. It is not well maintained. I did not stay to sleep and ask for the refund."

"A lovely house between Orosi and Paraiso, overlooking the Orosi Valley. Not far outside Paraiso--Waze took us right there. The house is beautiful and comfortable and very well appointed and supplied. The owner is only onsite part of the time, but is promptly available via WhatsApp. Her onsite assistant doesn't speak English, but we did fine with a little bit of Spanish and WhatsApp with the owner who speaks excellent English. We want to return to Casa Bartzis on a future trip--it's a winner!"
