All of the staff seem to have a genuine interest in making sure that we had a good time and made the most of our stay in Sigiriya. They also organised a couple of trips for us - to Polonnarua and an elephant safari. The first of these was a fascinating day visiting a former capital of Sri Lanka and the second was an afternoon seeing more than a dozen different herds of elephants, some of them just a few metres away from us. Both of these trips were excellent value. However, what makes this place Extra Special is certainly the friendliess of the staff. And the home-cooked food is also of excellent quality. For such a warm welcome this place is very good value and highly recommend recommended"
