"Taru Villas, Maia, Habarana is an amazing boutique hotel, where you felt completely by youself. The staff were amazing and always making sure we had a great stay. "This hotel lived up to the great ratings it has received...and then some. Every employee we encountered was warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the rooms lovely. Best was all the elephant themed art work throughout the property. It was like walking in a modern art museum!"

"A little bit of frustration as it could be a gem, but the attention to details in the room make it average. Service was excellent, food was superb and properly priced, rooms were big and well designed, the flaw lies in the attention to details. Mosquito marks on the walls, cracks not plastered, gaps in doors that allowed bugs and animals (geckos and frogs) to come inside, mosquito net in shower room with wide gaps…I would be expecting this not to happen in a 4 star hotel"
