Wagner’s Camp 4 beds 2 bath

Located in the Kitzbuhel neighborhood of the historic Acres of Jay NY, this property is not your average camp (we know - we own the 3200 square foot chalet across the street! Those listing numbers are as follows: 1399857 The Chalet at Jay; 1386540 The Main Chalet in Jay; 1215090 Pine Loft at Jay Chalet. Ask us about them!!!).

For this property, we did a play on the Kitzbuhel ski mountains of Austria. We used a Nordic / Scandi style for this house based off of our travels to Austria, Switzerland, Swiss Alps, Germany and Iceland but all the while staying true to our LOVE of the Adirondacks ADK! Really enjoyed our stay here. Exactly as advertised and warm and cozy after skiing. It’s 15 minutes to Whiteface Mountain, 5 minutes to a small supermarket and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place!!

First time staying up in the Adirondacks. Stayed here for a wedding at Mountain House in Keene. Gorgeous property with great amenities. Home was very clean, and hosts were very receptive and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here to my friends and anyone looking.

Girls Hiking Weekend
This camp was the perfect size for our group of 5. We loved the dining table, the cozy living room, and the beds were so comfy. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to find all the gear. I recommend staying here for a get away weekend!

Clean, modern, but still feels like a wilderness cabin. First time staying in Jay, looking forward to future vacations. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be nearby but not in Lake Placid or Saranac Lake

Wonderful Chalet in the Adirondacks!
Our group of 7 enjoyed our stay here so much - we hated to leave! The property has everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway. All of the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. Great communication from the host. Easy to get to Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid and Au Sable Chasm. Would definitely stay again when visiting the area!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Tons of room to spread out and enjoy. Very clean and comfortable! And the best Plow Driver in all of NY! Came to our rescue at 7am when we needed to be out the door for a race! Awesome stay! Great Hosts!

Easy access to the High Peaks, Lake Placid, Wilmington and Keene. Great deck and comfortable furniture. Good A/C on those hot days. The hosts answered any concerns or questions we had very quickly. We had a great time.

Perfect Adirondack Cabin
This cabin fit everything we needed for our week in the Adirondacks. The house was clean and the table fit our whole family for meals ( my brothers family rented across the street). We loved our camp fires at night and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table once they were bored with the adults around the fire. We found this was perfect location for hiking, canoeing and visiting Whiteface Mountain!

Nothing eclipsed our stay!
Our stay to view the totality of the eclipse on 4/8/24 was outstanding. The clouds cooperated and the view from the deck was perfect to watch the moon's slow march across the face of the sun - and then to be plunged into darkness surrounded by the trees and mountains was otherworldly. The house was neat, clean, and had everything we wanted or needed. Marty and Melissa were the perfect hosts with super easy and fast communication. We would love to stay again even without an eclipse!

White, Light and Bright
We had a great stay at Wagner Camp! Everything was as described. It was very clean and the walls and linens where all white making it very bright and cheery for a February visit! Marty and Melissa were very responsive and super helpful! The house was nice to come back to after a day of hiking in the snow! We would stay here again!

Quiet Retreat
Beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the deck or around the fire pit. Excellent wifi. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of light come through the bedroom windows in the morning so it’s hard to sleep late.

Came for a long weekend. Very impressed with how clean the cabin was & with the thoughtful extras like hand sanitizer & lovely hand soaps, shampoo/conditioner & moisturizer in both bathrooms. Quiet location but close & scenic drive to Lake Placid, Whiteface & Ausable Chasm. A bathroom for the 2 upstairs bedrooms might be nice for larger families but the bathrooms on the 1st floor & basement were sufficient for us. Communication with owners was great! We hated to leave & would definitely rent again!!

XC Ski and Snowshoe Weekend of Perfection!
We had a WONDERFUL weekend at this sweet cabin in the woods. Perfectly located to make us feel close to so much, yet away from it all. The house is sweetly decorated, the beds are super comfy and everything was perfectly clean. The hosts were easy to connect to, gave great advice on places to eat/ things to do. Kitchen is small, but had everything you might need. We had a wonderful time and look forward to making it a yearly tradition. Thank you!

Great Family Weekend
What a great weekend my family had this week. The property was excellent. The location was great. The hosts were wonderful. They accommodated two date change requests due to weather and Covid so that we could come a time my parents, siblings and their Spouses could all join together. This was our first of many trips back. Everything was clean, plenty of start up supplies and lovely decor. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay near Lake Placid or the area. Thank you.

Great Stay All Around
Excellent mountain cabin if you’re looking to get a remote-feeling stay while still be near major amenities (towns, Whiteface mountain, etc.) in the Adirondacks. Melissa is a polite, responsive, and very accommodating host. The property is well maintained and clean, with a well equipped kitchen, lots of things to keep you occupied, and modern furnishings. Common space is on the smaller side but the rooms are spacious enough and the goal in the mountains should be to get outside! One thing to note - when coming in the winter, local roads and the driveway really require 4WD as snow and ice can be challenging.
