Adirondack Riverfront Retreat

A cozy, newly renovated cabin with rustic Adirondack charm located steps away from the Ausable River with a view of Whiteface Mountain. It features a beautiful living space with a fully equipped kitchen. Located just 12 miles from Whiteface Mt and 20 miles from Lake Placid.

We are often at our private home on the property, about 40ft from your cabin, and we're happy to help with anything that may arise. Otherwise, we're only a phone call away. Please enjoy your time here–we want to respect your privacy and enable you to enjoy the serenity. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions or check with us on our schedule.

Great Stay!
I love this spot on the river! The space is just as advertised and is perfect for 1-2 people. Scot is an excellent host and is easily contacted if you need anything. Nothing like a fire here watching the sunset!

PERFECT Spot
Idyllic property, right on a gorgeous stretch of the Ausable River. Clean and comfy cabin with all that you need. We truly relaxed, spent a lot of time enjoying the river and the views. Great proximity to all that makes this area of the Adirondacks so special - Wilmington, Whiteface, Lake Placid, Jay, Keene -- all nearby. Lots of great hikes in the area. Our host Scot was super-responsive. We'd go back, for sure!

A Wonderful Place
I have stayed here 4x now. Its very great location on the river. the cabin has everything you need for 1-2 people. Lots of windows facing the river to enjoy the view. Love just being there! Scot is a great host and everything was super smooth!

25th anniversary get-away in the woods
We were looking for a quiet little get-away in the woods, with things to do nearby and this checked all of our boxes! Beautiful area with nearby restaurants and shops, but you feel so far away from the hustle and bustle while on the property; it was perfect! Great little Cabin Getaway!
We stayed at the cabin on the river for a long weekend and it was everything we hoped it would be. It was quiet and peaceful and although the owner lives in the house next door, we were left alone and had the place to ourselves to relax. The river is beautiful and the cabin was clean and just enough for 2 people. The owner was very attentive and we would definitely do it again.

Cozy cabin
Very clean, well-organized cabin! The view of the river is breathtaking. We hiked some local trails and would return here afterwards for dinner, a fire, and a refreshing night’s sleep and/or coffee on the deck in the morning. Has instant hot water heater and Mitsubishi A/C for those who can only take the outdoors on them for so long! Really cozy, rustic ambience. Very close to LP 9peaks for those who like to hike. Completely recommend it. Scot, the owner, is very responsive and kind.

This is the perfect place to decompress from phones, crowds and traffic. We spent two full days of enjoying the deck that overlooks the Au Sable river - reading, birding and fishing. Peaceful ADK Getaway
My husband and I were celebrating our 1st year Anniversary, and this quaint cabin on the river was perfect! The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It is steps from the Ausable River, which was a great spot to toss a line in at any point of day. It was close to other fishing spots we wanted to visit and close enough to the trailheads we hiked. The only thing we didn’t realize, is that the owners home is directly adjacent to the cabin. Maybe 10-15’ away. However, they were not home during our visit. We did have communication with them during our stay and Scot seemed really cool, so we would have gladly chatted with them, had they been there. All in all 10/10 would recommend, especially if you’re looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of the touristy Placid area. Stunning location!

My Third Visit!
I just find this location so peaceful and beautiful. The cabin is just right for my needs and has spots to eat, sleep, and multiple places to sit and relax. The river is so awesome! Easy to run into town if I forgot something. Scot is an excellent host who pays attention to details. I’ll be back for sure!

Mini vacation to recharge
Absolutely loved our time there, just wish it could have been longer! Immaculate cabin with every comfort. Then sat outside listening to the river by a campfire for hours, reading and recharging . As healthcare workers anytime you can escape all the demands (even when not working) is golden. So turned off devices and fully relaxed in a extraordinary peaceful setting! Thank you Scot for being there, but on the fringe. It was nice meeting you!
