"The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. Probably one of the best we have stayed in over many years. The surrounding countryside is variable, with flat plains , hills and lakes. If you are interested in Ww1 the preserved trenches in the area are the best I have seen. Verdun and Nancy, which are a short drive away, are both historical and picturesque."

"Superb property, best we have stayed in (out of six). Well equipped with everything and more you will need, plenty of plates, glasses, dishware and cookware. Proper oven. Do not be put off by the appearance from the street - the property is comfortable, spacious, peaceful and homely, with wonderful garden, terrace, and seating/relaxing areas. "We needed a property that could sleep at least 6 people and had multiple bathrooms. It was a bonus that this property was unique in its history. The owners worked hard to fix and upgrade this property and it shows. It was less than 15 minutes from where my mom grew up and where our family lives, making it ideal. The owners made us feel very welcome and accommodating with our busy schedule. They added little touches like fresh flowers and juices that personalized our stay. If we come back to that...
