"**American here** I appreciated the convenience and the proximity to the beach. Great if you have kids and there are many activities everyday. DO NOT GO IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK PORTUGUESE. It is a region not frequented by Americans (as opposed to Rio or São Paulo) so there was only one fluent employee. The pillows are uncomfortable so bring your own.
