The heated pool was however not quite as warm as we hoped; I believe it was set at 24 degrees which when windy (which it often is in Fuerteventura!) isn't particularly warm; it's okay if you keep very active but we got cold splashing around with our child. "Here for a one week break and deliberately chose it for reasonable access to Cofete and the beaches around Esmeralda. The drive down from the airport was very easy and finding the hotel was a dawdle too. Food was good and varied, as was the drink. I did feel they were slightly understaffed at times particularly at peak meal times. I would however return, and recommend it to others."

"Great food at both dinner and breakfast, the beach is excellent for walking and swimming. There was unfortunately no kettle for hot water in the room and the coffee at breakfast was undrinkable. Instead of Nescafe machines dispensing low-quality 'instant' coffee, the hotel could have provided a large pot of simple filter coffee for guests. "

"Hotel had only 25 to 30 guests out of a capacity of 200 plus. Potentially a lovely place- near good walks and beach, nice grounds and rooms and good gym. But..... The spa which they are still advertising is unusuable €26 to play tennis !! The only vegetarian option at dinner, mushroom ravioli, contained meat ! No vegetarian option at all on 2nd night so we had to eat pasta and tomato sauce Laura was the only saviour as she put on a yoga class and tried to enthuse the small number of guests....

"First class property with first class facilities representing excellent value for money on AI basis. The dining and cleaning staff were so friendly and helpful. Only downside was the aloof attitude of the reception staff on arrival and departure who were not even interested enough to ask if we enjoyed our stay.
