"Return trip after a night at a desert camp. Staff went above and beyond to get us the room that we wanted with the best fort view. We arrived before check in time and were treated to a complimentary lunch in the roof top restaurant. On departure, staff made sure we had plenty of water for our road trip and even packed us a lunch. Would definitely stay here again, largely for the location, but mainly for the excellent service. "

"The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!"

Food isn’t great - they should be able to get a good chef and cook more appealing meals given that the hotel is in the middle of Rajasthan. "I booked the tent rooms provided by Hotel for my family trip. Tent size is decent for a couple. There is not enough walking space and if baggage not kept properly can make look room clumsy. Tent room is not suitable for kids. Also, tents were not cleaned properly. However, Hotel itself was maintained. Pool seems good. We booked it with dinner and breakfast options and both were delicious. Staff was friendly. Overall good stay."
