"This was a clean and quaint place to stay. Dog friendly and roomy. We loved the dog run that let the pooches potty behind a fence for safety. We pray the property was not harmed by the flood as that area seems to be a target for a lot of the flooding we see on the news days after we stayed. Praying for the community and this little INN. The owners also communicated updates by text. They were great and we pray ok"

"The overnight staff was the absolute best!!! Morning staff was good. They have a full spread breakfast. Eggs, sausage potatoes, waffles bagels, toast, 4 different juices. Good parking. The facility is old and in need of updates. All the hallways smell like marajuana 24 hours a day. The rooms are very small, but were clean. Not spotless but clean. "

"We didn’t stay long but the stay was pleasant. We arrived late due to it being new years and a long drive and couldn’t find the room. The on call staff answered at 2:30 AM and was still pleasant. I can’t say enough positive about the staff at this place. We will definitely stay again if we come back to this area. "

My biggest issue is that there was no one in the office for check in, our key was in an envelope with our names on it taped to the office door with a page of instructions, and we had to call the number on the instruction sheet to find out about things like the wifi only to be told that it was in “the notebook”. "Great family trip! Riverside was a cute and comfortable little inn. The staff was great and we loved our room. We had a balcony which had a great view of the river. So peaceful. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I’m heartbroken for this community. So sad this little gem is gone. When they get up and running again we will definitely be back. One of my favorite towns in NC. "

"Overall, we had a great trip. There was nothing that lessened the enjoyment we had together as a family. However, there were a few things that may be normal in a mountain log cabin, but perhaps could be upgraded. There were a lot of stairs into the house and guest house and only one bedroom on the main floor of main house so seniors had a harder time of it. Cleaning was hit and miss.
