We really enjoyed our stay at Madre. Beautiful rooms with comfortable Beds, a great shower and a nice kitchen. A/C works great. We had a small dog with us and appreciated having an outdoor shower to clean all the sand off of her and for that matter ourselves before entering our room. We would definitely stay again upon return to Holbox.

El lugar y las habitaciones son divinas, la decoración, el estilo, tamaño. Si bien entiendo que el concepto no es de un hotel, creo que hay cosas que pueden ayudar a mejorar la experiencia: poner 4 toallas en lugar de 4, por el simple hecho que tienen una alberca (divina), un par de botellas con agua a la llegada en la habitación, jabón de cuerpo en la regadera y no solo shampoo y un servicio mínimo de limpieza diario en las habitaciones (sacar la basura, barrer) Holbox es hermoso y está siendo “the place to go” con eso llegará mas competencia y creo que Madre puede ser un lugar mas acogedor y al que sin duda regresaría con estos pequeños cambios

This place is beautiful, but for the price, we could have had some water for the coffee. 're location is great and it's cozy. I did no had enough information upon my arrival in how to enter to the place and I was stressed about it since our arrival was late. Communication isn't their best skill.

Beautiful, design oasis on Isla Holbox
Madre Holbox is a beautiful design gem on the main street in Isla Holbox. The hotel is new and truly gorgeous. It comes with a nice patio and swimming pool which is shared between the 7 or 8 rooms. The only thing worth mentioning is that there is no daily cleaning service. I would definitely recommend to other travellers!

The hotel is nice and modern, with a nice pool and friendly staff. The air conditioning worked very well, however we found the bed to be uncomfortable and too firm. We also only got given 2 towels for the stay and when we asked for more they didn’t provide any. No water in the rooms also. Would’ve been a nice touch to provide 1 or 2 bottles. If they solve the bed issue I would definitely stay again!
