I arrived late, was walked to the hut (I guess that’s what you’d call it), and I admit I was skeptical of how well I’d be able to sleep with no walls to keep the bugs out. No bugs bothered me at all. "I stayed here for a few days by myself, working for part of the day and surfing nearby waves the rest of the time. Then I spent a full week here with a friend just surfing from this location at several local surf spots. All went well. It was a bit tricky to get our 9 foot longboards up the stairs, but we figured it out. "If you are going to Rincón, Villa Cofresi is a great option. The beach is right there. It’s got a good restaurant and bar. It’s centrally located on the west coast to hit all the surf spots on the north and the calm beaches of the west. Staff in all areas very friendly and attentive. Many cool places around Rincón. Thursdays are popular at the plaza for its Art Walk. It’s a good value for the money. I’d stay here again for sure. "
