Deer Trail Log Home #13 | 4 Bed, 2 Bath

Beautiful 4 seasons log-sided cabin nestled in the north woods of Northern Wisconsin’s Bayfield County near Iron River, Wisconsin.

Includes 4 bedrooms plus a large loft, 2 full bathrooms, a living and dining area, an open-concept kitchen, gas fireplace, large deck with picnic table and charcoal grill. Cabin is furnished with log furniture and beautiful log bedroom sets.

A walking trail leads you from the cabin to beautiful Delta Lake. There is a dock on the far right side of the Deer Trail Lodge marina area a short distance from the cabin, this is where your pontoon is located. You can use the walking path or if uneven ground is difficult for you, drive around the corner to the left where the duplex cottages are to have better access. The pontoon is set up with the fisherman in mind. It has a trolling motor and depth finder to help you land the big one. We have some of the best smallmouth bass fishing in the country. Babe Winkleman stayed with us while filming fishing shows in the area.

This cabin is perfect for summer vacations, winter snowmobiling getaways, ice fishing, ATVs, fishing/hunting, cross-country skiing, or just a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle.

Don’t miss our summer Blueberry Festival, Bayfield County Fair, and all the fun happenings in the Iron River area!

Late christmas weekend
This house can sleep 8 adults comfortably. Remember to bring extra blankets in the winter. The basement rooms are colder, some like sleeping in a colder room. Kitchen is open enough for 2 or 3 people to be working at a time. 2 full bathrooms were appreciated. We enjoyed walking on frozen Delta Lake or down the quiet road.

Overall a great spot and great cabin. the only feedback i got from our crew was not enough sheets on beds down stairs was cold. Maybe add a griddle for the kitchen to cook pancakes and French toast breakfast. using the stove creates to much heat and smoke setting off the smoke alarms it seemed. overall very comfy cabin and group enjoyed the stay and sledding as well. Thank you. kelly

Quiet, clean, great location
Overall excellent experience. Secluded in the woods, not on the lakefront but could hear the loons at night and in the morning. A short walk to the dock. Pontoon in good shape and easy to use. The lake is quite small but if you want more lake you will have more people!! Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms, space. A couple things needed work but left a note for owners and hope they will fix. Would totally rent this unit again!

Don't waste your money!
The property was filthy and has black mold in the basement bathroom. The smoke detector in one of the bedrooms was hanging by the electrical wires. The pontoon boat that was included in the rental was not safe to even step on and had black mold everywhere, including on the life vests and the gages did not even work. Did not even take it out, barely even started. This was a huge disappointment. My family and I only stayed in this house 17 hours of our 5 day vacation and that is only because we had driven 7 hours and had no where else to sleep for the night.

Great for multiple couples or large family
Very secluded quiet place. Short walk to the lake and we used the pontoon everyday. The loons were entertaining and we only took enough fish (blue gills and crappies) for one meal. The crappies are very nice I don't think many people take the time to get minnows.

Summer lake house
The property was located just off the lake in the woods and that worked well for us as the dogs enjoyed the area. My kids are older so did not mind the isolation from all the other cabins. We left the property cleaner than we found it but only because i dusted the cob webs. Loved the location near to Iron River, with Amnicon Falls, Duluth and Madelaine island within an hour drive as that was where we visited.
