"There was just enough parking, with both the hotel and restaurant busy on our first night, but the main thing is, we did get parked. Check in was in the restaurant, and the hotel is secured by 3 keycard doors to your room. The room was really nice, and the beds very comfortable. The room was very clean, including the bathroom… except whilst it was only 2 pubic hairs on the bath, they were definitely not ours, and when your grandson questions what they are, it’s awkward, along with not being the nicest to encounter. Still, it could have been worse… there could have been a body attached! The breakfast definitely has to be one of the best value for money around, and given that we stayed in the Hilton another night on our journey, the quality of produce was just as good, if not better."

"In a great village that is beautiful with lots of history as well as contemporary activities. Breakfast at hotel is delicious and everyone from the receptionist to restaurant staff were warm and helpful "

"Room was a bit small but not the fault of the hotel owners. Staff were very polite and very helpful. Well worth a stay but no meals at night for half of the week but plenty of places too eat out in the town. A bit over priced. "

"This is a small family run hotel and resturant. The owner is the chef, and the food is excellent. He has an extensive wine list, so if you are a connoisseur of wine- then this is the place for you! The resturant is amazing, beautifully lit with candles. The owner is a lovely person, and made my partners birthday weekend one which we will not forget. Thank you so much for your friendliness, kindness and hospitality. "

"We were only there for one night but this was a great base for visiting the area. The room was clean and comfortable; the bathroom was very modern and the towels were large and soft. There was a kettle and a coffeemaker in the room with a good supply of teabags, etc. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of food available. We would definitely stay here again."
