"The "Hotel" is actually a set of apartment rentals in a very large, gated condo development being built on a supposedly protected coastline in Basilicata. Substantial sections of the development appear unfinished or abandoned. The apartments are large, air conditioned and well furnished and ideal for a week-to-month beach stay with children. The quite beautiful beach is a substantial walk away, but serviced by a development-owned shuttle van. The development isn't near anything else, so unless...

"Despite a minor mixup in our reservation, Pino quickly got us into our very comfortable room, and gave us suggestions and directions to area features. Our room’s air conditioner worked quite well, and our balcony was relaxing at sunset. There were several nice touches in our room to make us feel welcome.
