"We cannot say enough about the staff at the Royal Golf Hotel. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. You can walk to town and all of the sites of Dornoch in minutes. The beautiful beach is a short walk away as well. And golf, it’s right out the front door. We would highly recommend "

"Overall, had a very nice one night stay. Room was very warm, clean and tidy, what more can one ask for. Serve yourself continental breakfast was very good, with a nice fresh fruit selection and plenty of choice with cereals, bread, jams, etc. Location of the guesthouse is very close to the coastal footpath, for those that like walking, and also the golf course (for those that like walking after a little white ball)."

"Something very different for two oldies to experience. We were in the smallest accommodation, I assume, and the problem would have been in making up the bed had we not been pretty fit. Very compact, comfortable and a nice breakfast, on request, brought to the cabin by friendly people."

"On arrival I was upgraded to “the boardroom “. Great but the downside was a TV the did not work because of the aerial connection. Lovely big bathroom with new fitttings, but the bath did not drain."

"This is one of those special places that is worth the trek. Once you step foot into the front door it feels as if you’ve stepped back into a different time. The finishes are all rich and appropriate and the town itself is adorable. Service is outstanding, bed was delicious and would go out of my way to stay here again!! True luxe on a small scale! A bit difficult to find which bldg to check in so ask for clear directions prior to check in. "
