"Had a wonderful stay at the Chester. All the staff we encountered were lovely and very helpful. The room was very comfortable and had a lovely feel to it. Did think that the bathroom was big enough to have a a bath and shower - we only had a shower but that would be the only negative. I hadn't asked for a bath so no complaint."

The gym and pool are great for my needs on a work trip too. The nice peaceful location adds to the appeal and an evening walk in the summer is good. "

"Lovely atmosphere, the hotel has been very stylishly decorated with a mixture of periods of furniture. The staff were all very welcoming and made us feel very relaxed as soon as we arrived. The head waiter is a fantastic character and was kind enough to give my wife a rose when we sat down for an amazing dinner. He also seated us for breakfast and was very friendly and helpful. All in all a wonderful weekend away and we are both considering a trip back in the summer to enjoy the outside eating...
