"Tucked away in South Bay, Kaikoura, the Bay Cottages offered us a relaxing stay. Our cottage was spacious, the kitchen well-equipped, the living area and the bed comfy. Everything was very clean and tidy. Its in a great location to explore the Kaikoura area. Only a short drive away from downtown or a walk over the hill. we enjoyed our stay and can only recommend it."

"We absolutely loved our stay here. Was so quiet, so many wild birds flying around us and the view was amazing. We highly recommend this superb, unique property and we will come back longer next time. Make sure you book ahead for dinner at Hapuku Kitchen to the Friday Supper Club. It was the best time ever."

"It was very secluded and we loved the beach. We do have a few suggestions: stock more toilet paper, only 2 burners on the stove worked, lots of dead bugs in the sliding door jam."

"Host was pleasant and provided details on local activities. However property was basic and dated when compared to other VRBO properties we’ve stayed in for similar price."

"Lovely peaceful stay, yes you can hear road noise but it didn't bother us. The house is just lovely. Loved how close it was to town, and beach so nice not to have to drive anywhere. Would definitely stay stay here again."

"Lovely place with easy access to the beach. Extremely quiet and dark, allowing for great stargazing. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Friendly host who quickly explained everything and was available for questions via text. Would definitely return the next time we’re near Kaikoura. "

"We loved this condo for our family! Very nice space and nicely decorated, great views, excellent amenities, easy parking, loved the washer/dryer in the unit, and 2 bathrooms for the 2 bedroom condo. We would stay there again for sure! Highly recommend."
