"I stayed in Anchorage as my launch point to Denali and Seward/Kenai Fjords. It was good to be able to extend my stay and book the female dorm last minute in the days in between my trips. The manager, John, splits his time between the midtown location and downtown, and I found he was the most helpful in booking my transportation and the Kenai Fjords cruise. Overall staff were friendly and keep the place tidy despite how many ppl were staying there. It is a budget hostel and nothing fancy here....

"Went with 3 couples to bird cheek chalet for a friends 40th birthday. This place is very nice and spacious. There’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It’s pet friendly and the road is nice for walking your pet and you can get on the trail down to bird creek nearby. We skied Alyeska and it was about a 14 min drive. We also spent a relaxing day at the nearby Nordic Spa. The hot tub at the Chalet is a very nice addition and we were able to see the northern lights from it one night! The...
