"This location for a city rental is unbeatable. Easy walking to the main city sites and pubs, local Tesco and other convenience stores, pharmacies and restaurants. And driving access to points north and west was also easy and we had wonderful day trips to Connamara, the Kylemore Abbey, Achill island the Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo. Won’t lie, it’s a bit scary getting in the narrow driveway with a larger car, but worth the off-street parking. The beds were new and comfy, kitchen...

"We had a love stay on the outskirts of Oughterard! The property was quiet and remote and very enjoyable! Only thing I would say is we were a little confused on how to access the property at first because the address given stops at the cottages. I would also have liked the property manager to be more responsive, but the local contact was very helpful! Over all, this stay was great and will be incredibly memorable for a long time!"

"This place was awesome! Loved the dark and moody vibes. Everyone having their own bathroom was quite lovely. The walkability to the main streets was perfect. Space to park cars was very helpful. "First of all, the lodge is exactly as portrayed in the pictures. We absolutely loved our 8 day stay in in this remote and quiet countryside. Lough Carra was beautiful, and we had sheep out front and dairy cows in the back. Beautifully landscaped as well. The caretakers, Jim and Mary were exceptional. We chose this place because we waned private and and countryside. We got it. It was the perfect base for our wanderings in Co. Mayo, Co. Galway and Connemara. My only sugesstion is for clearer...

"The home is charming, we would readily stay again. "

"The property is in an ideal location for Galway City and surrounding area.. It is dated and could do with some TLC ,along with the garden. The local area has some fantastic scenery and is almost a step back in time. The local Pub restaurant has a great atmosphere ,and the food and beer were marvellous! "

"The property was as advertised and very secluded on a peninsula. The lake is quite with great sunrise and sunsets. Mike (property manager) was easy to get ahold of and pleasant to work with. "

"This georgian house is impressive but in great need of some TLC. Mary the house keeper/property manager does a great job of keeping it clean and tidy but there are serious things that need addressing in order to maintain the house: the house has damp - stained peeling wallpaper shows this, as do the mushrooms growing out the beam by the front door. I'd urge the owner to get this under control before it takes hold of the property. A few features in the description are untrue: there is no games...

"The big pros of this place are location and size! A once in a lifetime trip with adult children/spouses and this space was large enough for the 7 of us and it is close enough to walk to public transit around Ireland. Easy to communicate with and check in/check out easy. Part of our group ended up delayed by a day but part of us made it and check in and communication was everything! Please note that by American standards the bathrooms/showers are small but there are enough that the space works...

"Not only was the location, perfect for attending evens like Trad on the Prom down on the water, it was only a 15 minute walk into town where Quay street fun lured us to music dancing and laughing. . "This property was perfect for me and my extended family. Both granddaughters were over the moon at having a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. All four adults found the bedrooms, community areas and kitchen to be a great value with enough space for everyone to find seclusion when needed, and ample room for group meals and other activities. "My siblings and I, along with our spouses, just returned from our stay at this property. It is a beautiful house and the location can't be beat! The host is responsive and helpful, telling us all about the property and area. Beds were comfy, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. I/We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we're in Ireland! If you're considering a stay here....book it.....you won't be disappointed!"

"We enjoyed a lot our stay in Aine´s house. The house is confortable and spacious. The kitchen is big and convenient, close to the terrasse. The hot tub was appreciated at the end of the day. Kids loved to spend time with Poppy, the friendly dog ! We have visited Connemara and the aran island Inis oirr that we recommand."

"The price was high, but by far the best accommodation we had in Ireland. The host checked in that everything was okay, had good suggestions what to see in Galway. One suggestion was to walk downtown. Faster and easier than driving. They came in midweek to change the bedding. A fully equipped kitchen, and a grocery store across the road made meals easy. The Huntsman Inn restaurant and pubs were across the parking lot, so no need to drive. Truly a first class facility. "

"The apartment was fabulous! The only negative was the check in/out process. You have to check in at the Western hotel, which means you have to park in the hotel's underground parking which is a disaster and you have to repeat the whole crazy process on check out. Once we got into the apartment it was lovley."

"Enjoyed our stay here! Plenty of room for our holiday. Parking was easy. Communication form property was thorough and timely- read the line about using gps coordinates! Apartment was clean and well appointed. easy drive into Galway. Also, very helpful to us to have a washer/ dryer. "

Beautiful old hotel in a great location!

"We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old hotel right next to the train station and in the very walkable city of Galway. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the water cartons in the room. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This is the perfect location for a solo or couple traveling wanting to experience Galway to the fullest without any hassle. The car park was right next door and easy to find. The hotel itself was surrounded by dining and drinking locations all within just a few minute walk. Convenience and ease of access made this stay unique compared to any other city in Ireland. Galway ended up being my favorite place to visit among all the major destinations in Ireland and The Snug Townhouse helped exceed expectations."
