"Alora is a bustling little town nestled on a hill and the room I had overlooked the old Moorish fort on the adjoining hill. Beautiful ! The hotel was basic but spotlessly clean and the owners Paco and Monica were lovely. And great value for the single traveller "

"Firstly, the breakfast pastries are some of the best pastries I’ve had in my life. (And trust me when I say I’ve had many pastries before today) crisp on the outside, feather soft on the inside. Dinner in the hotels restaurant was delicious!! The lamb shoulder was recommended and did not disappoint. The staff were soooo helpful, gave excellent advice re the hike. Super kind and friendly. Thank you to you all! The room was clean and bed comfy. Would absolutely stay again should I do the hike again. "

Sure, you may nick-pick at the layout of the rooms but that is overshadowed by the sheer beauty of the hotel, and its location (where there are plenty of walks available). We had a most wonderful stay (3 nights half-board), made even more memorable by the staff."
