"Our family was looking for an end of summer-celebrate some birthdays holiday. This little getaway in Afton was absolutely perfect. Most spectacular views out the back, lovely deck with comfy seating, hot tub, fire pits, hammocks, it has it all to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Very close to hiking spots as well as fabulous breweries in and around the area. Keep in mind there is no TV. "This tiny house was great for some alone time with your partner. The only downsides were, there was a coffee pot you could make coffee on the stove, but no coffee maker. Your are set out in the country some, so some insects are to be expected, but they mostly stayed on the first floor, there was a decent amount of ants in the kitchen (windows were rustic, so they were coming in there) we just kept any food in the fridge. The handle on the tub is broken off, and we found it weird that already...

"This place was perfect size for my husband and I and another couple to stay and enjoy an extended weekend. I give it a 4 star over all stay due to the 2 bedroom has more of a closet door instead of a true door that had difficulty closing at night. All new appliances were perfect for cooking dinner at night and perfect location to do the Nelson 151 wine tour."

"We had a wonderful girls weekend at this sweet cottage. Felt just like visiting your grandmother’s house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Access to the pool was easy. Our host was lovely. She checked in on us when we arrived and the morning we left. Great little place to escape to for a weekend."

"We were so pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Super clean and close to so many cool things to do. Our original plan was to spend our days at Shenandoah but with so many cool things nearby, we had the chance to explore. The trails on the property are wonderful. "A great place for a small family to stay! We liked everything about it. The stairs are steep — almost more of a ladder — so unless kids are a little older or good at obeying their parents, I’d offer a bit of caution is required. But the cottage was quiet and lovely for our 2-day visit to Sweet Briar College, especially since lodging was hard to find. Communication with the manager was clear and easy via SMS and email. Look no further!"

"This place was top notch! We had been awaiting this stay and it more than exceeding our expectations for our 10th anniversary. The website was a great touch and communication before and during our stay was excellent. Beautiful place with all the little touches one could ask for. "This is a gorgeous house and property. Meticulously maintained, well stocked, spacious and comfortable, lovely location, beautiful all around. The house is on the top of the hill with amazing views and lots of windows to enjoy it. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen seems fully stocked for easy cooking. It was an easy and beautiful drive to nearby cideries and Cville. A real gem, hope to stay there again."
