"Freindly staff and environment "

"Check in was quick and easy and the receptionist answered all of our questions. We discovered that we had been upgraded to a suite which was lovely. It was very well appointed although there were some areas that needed attention (dirty curtains and black mold on the bathroom ceiling). However the towels and bed linen were all clean and we appreciated the sitting area and coffee machine. Dinner was a little disappointing as there were only 4 choices on the menu and one wasn’t available. There were also some burgers that could be ordered from the lounge menu but that isn’t really what you expect for dinner in a hotel of this calibre. However we did enjoy the food we ordered and prices were reasonable. Breakfast was very nice but more fresh fruit and some ‘proper’ bread would have been nice. I also prefer a cooked breakfast made to order with a variety of eggs available (and maybe some smoked salmon too!). The leisure club was small but nice enough for a short stay. We definitely left feeling more relaxed than when we arrived so our stay certainly fulfilled its purpose! "

"Absolutely perfect location right by the cathedral and a short walk to sites and restaurants all around Norwich. The Maids Head is a very classy, old school hotel that is clearly proud of its history and tradition."

"We only stayed at the hotel for one night with our dog and we were made to feel very welcome on arrival by the friendly staff. The room was clean and a nice size for the price. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with a nice shower. There was a little noise in the evening but that’s to be expected from the location but we had a great nights sleep and so did our dog. Parking outside the hotel was great and they were actually nice and wide spaces for once. We’d definitely stay at the hotel again. "

"The room was a very good size, clean and had coffee, tea and chocolate making facilities. We had everything we needed in the room. The food was nice and the service was good. It did have golf and leisure services but we didn’t use any of that. Would definitely recommend. "
