"This is a really beautiful hotel. We were upgraded and really appreciated this. The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable all in all fabulous stay. However, we ate in the restaurant and found the food very underwhelming. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t fabulous, so we were a little disappointed. "

"As a 3 generation family group we all loved this place to stay. Fabulous location: amazing views of countryside, but close enough to the coast. Accommodation was comfortable (beds amazingly so), lots of games and activities for children, and of course the pool and hot tub which were very well used. Our hosts Mark and Georgina were very helpful and accommodating, and communicated really well. Highly recommended. Simon and family."

"Instantly felt very welcome! Shown around the beautiful room with excellent amenities, fresh coffee, milk, orange juice and cereal. A fresh breakfast was offered, but I kindly declined as I'm not the biggest breakfast eater. Very clean space and a lovely bathroom also. Highly recommended for both a business trip or for a couples night away."

"Cosy and comfortable. Decent bedding and excellent duvet. Really nice breakast. The bathroom safety rails should be replaced as very rusty but plenty of hot water. Overall very clean, only let down by the rusty rails in the bathroom. Wouldnt put me off staying again, it was so peaceful and comfortable."

"Excellent hosts in a quiet location. Ideal for our purposes. We were also made to feel very much at home by the non human residents, Boris in particular. Thankyou Doug and Adrian. Roger and Maureen Emmins "

"It has no restuarant or bar meals and nearest pub/eatery is miles away. Rooms are clean and recently painted but otherwise tired. Plumbing is a bit suspect."

"I went to book into the hotel and it was closed, dark and empty. I tried to contact them on both numbers provided. Nothing. No answer, no call back. I tried all day and it was so frustrating and worrying as we had no idea where we were going to sleep that night. I left it until 5pm and then found another place to stay. Thought that perhaps something had happened and they'd be back the following day and may offer the two nights from then. Next day arrived and same fiasco. The hotel we had booked...

"the property is as the Vrbo description The beds were so comfortable. just to make people aware the property is not fully enclosed as if you have inquisitive dogs as mine are they can get into the wood at the side of the garden over a muddy stream then onto a road and leading to fields with livestock in. The garden is a wonderful size for doge to run around in and the outside hose is a great edition to wash down your pets as we had to do on many occasions. We were visited by a deer one morning...

"We had a wonderful stay. The weather was really kind to us, and the property was ideal (& well equipped)Judith was very welcoming and the decorations were a nice fesitve touch.The general area is really nice and plenty to see and do.The Kingfisher Inn in Colyton serves some amazing fish/seafood dishes (& good beer)Would happily return."
