Public transport stops are located close by the hotel as is old town, which is an easy walk. Hotel rooms were a great size with very good amenities. "It's in great location, walkable from the main train station and also walkable to the main touristy/restaurant area of the city. The room we had was huge, more like a small apartment. Everything was in great condition and checkin was super easy. Having the free bus pass was very handy, as it meant we could make our way back to the airport at no extra charge (you need bus 50 to get to the airport, it stops just on the left hand side (as you are walking out) of the main entrance to the SBB station. The only slight negative is the room felt quite warm, which was the case for all of the hotels we stayed in in Switzerland. We had air con but turning that down didn't make too much of a difference. But I would say this is a great place to stay if visiting Basel or even if you are just transiting through e.g. making your way to or from the mountains. "
