Okunoshima is an island in the Seto Inland Sea, also known as Rabbit Island.

It's become a popular destination lately for both rabbit lovers and old ruin hunters, which this island has plenty of. There are rabbits EVERYWHERE and most are very friendly. People bring carrots and cabbages (or you can buy rabbit food on the island) and enjoy feeding the wild rabbits. The higher you climb the island (they really are everywhere) the more shy the rabbits are.

The ruins around the island are old poison gas research facilities that were used during the war. They are now overrun by plants and rabbits.

You can learn more about the island in their poison gas museum.

Location: There is a ferry that comes to the island from both Hiroshima prefecture and Omishima island
