"My wife and I had an incredible experience and the staff were superb. They had supported us upgrading our room and even provided an adorable little gift for our honeymoon. The suite along with the amenities were incredibly clean, serene and provided the level of tranquility we were hoping to find. The price matched what we were looking for and, having a private bath for ourselves was ideal. While the facility was busy, I found that we had ample space of our own. The only issue we ran into was with Dinner. Due to traveling conditions, we did not book our dinner 3-days in advance. This meant that for our weekend we could not partake their restaurant and had to go down the street for food. It was not great timing for me as it started raining pretty hard and there wasn’t much in walking distance I was willing to get to on foot. With that said, there is a Lawsons if you are in a crunch or other fine dining places in the area so if you really miss the dinner, you have alternatives if needed. Would recommend this place to anyone and having a shuttle to get us from the train station to our stay was a great touch to get us back on our way for the remainder of our stay in Japan. "

"We loved this ryokan experience! It had everything we were hoping for. Dinner and breakfast were magnificent, the multi-course meals had us full and pleasantly surprised. We love the private onsen and yukata as well The staff here were super helpful and wanted us to have a nice stay. Most of them can help in basic English, but there were a few who you have to take out the translator for which was not a big issue"

"This place was cool, and had an emphasis on Americanism, with President roooms including a JFK room. It was really nice to experience! We noticed lot of school kids stayed in the hotel, probably for the American historical context, or that it was just right by one of the main train stops. Either way, the people in this area are all so nice and friendly, way more thab the big city of Tokyo. Genuinely enjoyed our stay around this place, and there's a ton of food options nearby, including a giant mall. The room we stayed in was pretty big, and the hotel staff are very helpful! Definitely reccomend staying here to explore the area, and to go visit Otsu and Koka Ninja House which isnt far from this hotel."
