A little gravel road for 7km to reach an isolated small rural town far away from the crowds. Clean. Excellent outdoor area with BBQ. "Second time staying here and although the weather was, again, less than great, it was still a great time and the units and overall space are still really well maintained. Surat Bay is accessible and, further along, so is cannibal bay. Owaka nearby is also a lovely spot for an hour or two, with a solid restaurant, great coffee place, superb book shop and quaint little museum and community space. It is a beautiful spot, far from the world where all you'll hear are birds, the sea and wind moving through water ... And rain! Lots of rain! But without the rain, you wouldn't get that lush kiwi green."
