"The property was great for us as a family. We were busy all day and just needed somewhere to rest our heads and feet from all the walking we did. It would have been nice to have towels provided and being British, we’d have loved a kettle for making our own hot drinks. It was clean and warm, the shower was lovely and powerful, and the staff were accommodating. We were early for check in but they kindly offered us a different room which was ready. "First time in Copenhagen, first time ant Danhostel, everything great! Room clean, amazing view, friendly staff. Guests kitchen useful even if almost always busy. The only thing that annoyed me was that everything paid INSIDE the hotel with Revolut in Danish crowns came with a small fee, from the booking to a simple coffee. Anything we paid OUTSIDE the hotel came with no fee at all. (Transport, every kind of food, supermarkets, souvenirs) Apart from that, we are very pleased with our experience...

"Our hotel/hostel of choice when we visit our family in Sluseholmen. My review is based on its excellent value for money. If you like more luxurious accommodation then it may not be for you. We only use it for sleeping in as we spend daytime at our son’s appointment. The room has no tea making equip or mini fridge. There is shower gel & hairdryer. "The concept is very interesting: the rooms look literally like some tents and everywhere is decorated as if you would be in a forest or so. The stuff is super friendly! It is definitely a hostel that stands out. I would really book it again. It is quite warm inside. The toilets are very generous with the space and clean. "

"Bathroom was an issue. Two bathrooms on facility: one is a small box, one is bigger one that is shared between male and female. Room temperature could not be controlled. Two small seperate blankets. Overall okay stay but could have been better."

"The service and breakfast were good. The kitchen facilities in the basement were excellent. One thing that could be improved was the cleanliness of the quilt and pillow. I am not sure how others' were, but mine looked dirty."

"A short 1 night stopover in this hostel ., staff member at reception was very pleasant and gave details very precisely ., room was for 4 people large enough .. bathroom and shared shower facilities on same floor and were sufficient . Overall it’s a well run hostel with a good transport links to travel the city 👍"

"Dårlige senge, hovedpuder og dyner.! Der lå en sok på værelset fra tidligere gæster + der var ret koldt om natten og termostatet på radiatoren virkede ikke, og der kunne ikke åbnes vindue for at lufte ud om morgenen, som ellers også kunne have været rart. "

Storybook Danish Charm

"One of the most charming hotels I’ve ever stayed in. They even made the January cold seem delightful. Definitely take advantage of their Comfort Hour and buffet breakfast. Our only complaints were that we couldn’t stay longer or live close enough to return next week. Would absolutely recommend!"

"I had a great stay. SS was really nice and room was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. As others have said lights in the room were a bit complicated but I just switched them all on and off until I got the combination I wanted. Shame gym was not included as looked nice. Have never paid extra to use a gym before. Just note that no English TV channels. Ok as I read a book but something to note maybe. Overall I would stay again as a good location - 10 minute walk from main Trainline and 15 mins by foot to middle of town. "
