"Was a lovely hotel with lovely staff in a nice location, I do like the kings inn hotels but admittedly the bathroom wasn’t very clean nor modern and it did smell a little, but it was still good for the price we paid to stay there. The bed was comfortable and we had a sleep without any disturbances. Also breakfast was nice, and the bar maids were very nice and it was very calm and chilled to sit and have a drink in the evening. "

"Easy check in at the bar and a friendly welcome. Car park was big enough to find a space at the rear. Room was clean and cosy, and I slept soundly. DIY breakfast in the room, though hot meals available for those planning a longer stay. Good, honest establishment and great value for money."

"This hotel is very conveniently located right next to York Barbican. I had an event there so this hotel was a great choice. The staff were prompt and friendly, and explained everything well. The property is very secure with the gate locked and a code required to unlock and access the building. I felt very safe! Everyone staying at the hotel was considerate and quiet. "A nice break away for a few days in York. The hotel is very central right next to Bootham Bar. Room large, cleans and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and large portions. The only problem was no parking on site and having to park at a nearby carpark cost £34 per day !!"

"Fabulous location opposite the end of the Shambles and within easy walking distance of all of York’s attractions. Only one vegetarian option on the menu and limited selection of cask ales. There was no room cleaning for the 3 nights we stayed there - toilet rolls and drink replenishment had to be asked for downstairs. Cups were cardboard ‘to-go’ variety and there was no hairdryer.
