"We loved our 2 night stay here, the restaurant was great (unfortunately couldn’t get a booking at Yu Pan Asian) and we loved that the outdoor pool was heated for swimming in winter. The spa facilities do get extremely busy and noisy on Saturday but Friday evening and Sunday it was really pleasant to use. Our massage treatments were amazing, very relaxing. We stayed in a Heritage double room, very comfortable and with lovely personal touches to the room. Could use a few hooks by door for big winter coats and a place to store shoes and better pillows. Service was overall very good, extremely friendly staff. It did seem that some staff were not as well informed as others as when we enquired about a few things, we got mixed answers but nothing major - like I said everyone was extremely professional and friendly. We were recommended good local walks, the grounds of the hotel are lovely too. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we can’t wait to come back. "

"Very comfortable hotel. The rooms are large and well kept. We didn't use the restaurant so cannot comment on that, however we did go to the Old Boathouse (which is part of the hotel) and had a very good meal served by friendly and efficient staff."
