We had a very warm welcome, all the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts and evening meals were excellent with lots of food options. Our room was cosy and very clean and comfortable. "We chose the G&C for an overnight stay after a day at Chatsworth House, due to its location and proximity to the house. The welcome was bright and warm, just like the rooms. The rooms were spacious and modern, well decorated and clean, with comfy beds and great facilities. Tea and coffee were good and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. We chose to take breakfast and dinner in the bar. The breakfast was lovely and set us up for our journey. The dinner the night before was a touch...

The food at the hotel is very nice and very well priced and the real ales are superb. Although they don’t do breakfast there are plenty of places to get breakfast, we used Ye Old Nags Head and for £10.95 it was value for money. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at The Peak Hotel and will be staying...

"So nice to have somewhere to eat and stay that doesn't allow dogs. Husband has allergies and it is becoming more difficult to find places that are dog free. Room was excellent and spacious. Evening meal was perfect and a very good breakfast. Wonderful views. Perfect place to stay."

"Lovely place with the most beautiful views. Rooms were fine - clean and comfortable, nothing special to look at but perfectly adequate. The lady who has recently taken over said she is in the process of renovating them. Breakfast was good. Would happily stay again, especially after she has been there for a while longer. I can’t imagine anywhere having a better location for views and getting around the Peak District "
