I didn't get back in time for dinner but the udon for breakfast on the first morning was fantastic and I was serenaded by a lovely man playing Ghibli music and the beatles on a ukulele as I ate my cheesy bread on the second morning. "The hotel is excellent, and the staff was polite. However, even though I am a permanent resident of Japan, they asked to photocopy my Japanese Resident ID card, even after I told him, in polite Japanese, that this was against the law. Also, at check out, while I was waiting in line, two Japanese couples barged in front of me and were attended to first, for no apparent reason. I felt discriminated against, despite speaking the language and living in the country for 27 years."

"コスパが最高です！駅近くで長期間泊まりましたが、過ごしやすかったです。I had wanted to stay near the station area for various reasons, and this happened to be one of the cheapest options for me that seemed to have the amenities and room configuration preferences I wanted. I stayed for 8 nights, so a bit of a long stay, but I had a pleasant stay. The email the hotel sends out does say you need to be out of the room between 10am-4pm, but I was able to arrange at check-in to have my room cleaned every few nights instead, so that I...
