"We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!"

"A lovely house which was perfect for our short family break. The house is completed to a high spec and the garden is very well maintained. The bar area is a bonus and a really nice area for socialising. Location was good to go to beaches and other local areas. Most things are within a 10-15 minute drive. Kids and grandparents really enjoyed the stay."

"Imagaine been in a dessert then coming across a magical oasis! Imaculate property, top class spec but the hosts: warm, empathetic, kind not in your face or constant just there for you. My dog Cooper and I definitly rate this as our favourite holiday stay ( and we go to three a year) we are going back. "Loved staying here, it was a different experience to staying at a hotel, it was cosy and comfortable. Amazing stay
"Everything about our stay was wonderful, from the friendly people on reception to the brilliant bar and restaurant staff. The room was exceptionally large with a huge bed to match and so clean. There was a lot of information in the room about the hotel's history and surrounding areas. There wasn't a huge menu to choose from but a good variety within it so we could easily find something to eat. What made that immaterial was the quality of the food and the brilliant cooking of it. The town was very busy but none of the noise could be heard in the hotel. This a great hotel and deserves all the praise."
