"We don’t want to over recommend the property because we want to come back! It’s already difficult to get! We had a splendid time - visited Paihia, Kerikeri, Waitangi, Russell, Long Beach, boat tour of the Bay of Islands (out to the hole in the rock). Amazing! Wished we could stay longer. Didn’t want to leave!"

"Lovely house, well situated, beautiful views. Comfy beds, great showers. Provided everything we needed. However, lower bedroom still has damp musty smell and we had no wifi and no Netflix as modem had failed and needed replacing. Property manager responded immediately to internet problem and replacement arranged. Read comments about noise from ferry wharf but we did not find this intrusive."

"We had a lovely stay at Marilyn’s well-equipped and cosy cottage. The location in a small community of baches on the edge of Paihia was convenient and wonderfully quiet (note we were there in the off-season) - though a car is recommended if you’re not big walkers and want to get to the main town. Marilyn was quick to respond to and solve minor queries. We loved our stay in Paihia and our breakfasts on your sunny deck. Thank you!"

"the cozy cottage lived up to its name and was everything we needed for a 2 night stay in Paihia. lovely pictures and historic photos of Paihia. Easy walking distance to the shops even in heavy wind and rain. Really enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning and raindrops on the roof. Will be back in summer so we can wander down to the beach! "

"We only stayed 1 of our 3 nights, the bed was old and saggy. The tiny cabin was not as big as the photos implied. Overpriced, we had been staying in big fancy houses for less $$"
