"Really great. Pub was heaving when I arrived due to football derby but staff ensured I checked in easily and you could not hear the pub noise in the room."

"This property was perfect for our needs, working at a conference in the city. We arrived 9pm and left early both days, so just needed a place to sleep. Private carpark round the rear of property. Close to metro (tram) stop and an easy 20 minutes by car from the city centre (less for Salford Quays or Old Trafford). Apart from check-in we never saw anyone during our weekend stay. "Don’t expect sterile bright modern ambiance. It is a 200+ year old country farmhouse but it is so charming and and well kept with lots of period touches along with everyday conveniences. Clean, warm, with amazing traditional English touches - tea and teapot with biscuit jar in the room - Sherry decanter but bright clean modern bathroom with powerful shower. "Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny. All completely clean and functional...
