"For the price I wasn’t expecting too much. But really nice atmosphere walking into the pub. Barman new my name to expect me, took an order for breakfast in the morning (which was great!) and the room was massive and comfy. Didn’t cost me to park either - would definitely stay again and hopefully get a beer too next time!"

"Superb in every way. Warm and welcoming staff who couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Cosy but spacious bedroom with very comfortable bed. Fantastic home cooked food and plenty of it! A roaring log fire and honesty bar for drinks and snacks. The views are spectacular and although in a quiet location, within easy reach of the shops. "

"Always enjoy our stay at Union Road , it is so convenient for visiting my family. They make you feel so welcome. I am sorry to say if there is one thing we don't like is the fact that the rooms are dog friendly, and we are not dog lovers. I don't know if all rooms are dog friendly but if they are it might be a problem for future stays as my wife can break out in a rash."

"This is an old building, so think quirky shaped rooms and features, not boring square boxes. That doesn't mean that it is dated inside though, it has been decorated to a high standard, and is spotlessly clean and tidy, and tastefully furnished. Our room was bigger than we expected, with loads of space even though the (very comfortable) bed was huge. There are all the facilities that you might expect, such as tea, coffee, biscuits, fridge, room safe etc, but what was lovely was that there wasn't...
