"Stayed here for a couple of days over the Easter break. I booked for the views over Windermere which were stunning but there is so much more. Really liked this hotel, I love the blend of modern and period pieces, a really nice feel to the place. Lots of lovely areas in the hotel to enjoy and relax, the brasserie, conservatory and gardens. Breakfast was also delicious in the restaurant, very pleasant. All the staff without exception were polite, smiley and professional and a credit to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again, loved it!"

"Parking was on site,walking distance into bowness and local amenities. Collection of keys straight forward. Accommodation was very clean and true to the discretion. Central very pleased with whole of visit. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends"

"I visited with my wife and daughter for a chill out weekend after a busy first quarter. This hotel was ideal with stunning views of lake Windermere and the busy boating area of Bowness. We walked 20 mins into Bowness on an evening (torch required for return leg) and during the day. We relaxed around the hotels lake, and I must stay the weather played its part too. We ate in the hotel bar and the food was excellent, breakfast was one of the best we had too, plenty of choice, nothing was too much trouble, especially after regularly stopping at other high quality hotels. I marked the service slightly down as the car park attendant / luggage buggy driver push his way past me one morning when leaving the hotel and I felt his driving was a bit quick given my daughter was onboard the golf buggy holding items and trying to hang on. It I don’t want this to distract the a great location and stay, we wanting a luxury get away, relaxing break and that what we had. "

"Couldnt fault anything apart from we were in room 131 and the privacy in the hot tub lacked a bit. Everyone that passed either on foot or in a car were gawping at us. A non clear banister would stop this. My wife felt a little bit awkward walking to and from the tub. "

"We had a lovely one-night stay for my birthday. The staff were friendly and we were given a room upgrade which was a great birthday treat. The original staircase is gorgeous and our room was spacious with a lovely en-suite. The breakfast was great too. Thank you for a lovely stay."
